LIFE IN THE SPIRIT
When: Seven consecutive Thursday evenings, 7 to 9 PM, beginning April 12 through May 24, 2012.

This series entitled Life in the Spirit is a seven week formation program. Its purpose is to help establish or deepen a person’s relationship with Jesus Christ, and lead the participant to experience an awakening of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit bestowed at Baptism and Confirmation.
The structure of the program consists of seven 2 hour sessions. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on scripture and to journal during the week in between sessions. During Week 5, members of the group will be prayed over for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The session titles are:
- Week 1: God’s Love
- Week 2: Salvation
- Week 3: New Life
- Week 4: Receiving God’s Gift
- Week 5: Praying for Baptism in the Holy Spirit
- Week 6: Growth
- Week 7: Transformation in Christ
The flow of the meeting is as follows:
- Open meeting with a prayer and welcome
- Break into small discussion groups to share previous weeks assignment and journaling
- Each small group facilitator will prayer for each member of their small group
- A member of the group will lead a prayer for the small group facilitator
- Teaching for the week
- Close with prayer
